3. Dakota Kai

Poor Dakota Kai has had a rough go of it in WWE.

Highly regarded, Kai did not fare well during the NXT 2.0 era, as she was given the gimmick of a “crazy” woman. Amazingly, this didn’t help her connect with fans and she was released in April 2022.

Just three months later, Dakota reappeared on the WWE scene, this time at SummerSlam alongside Bayley and Iyo Sky to form Damage CTRL. The stable had the potential to be a dominant force in the women’s division, and while they got ample TV time, they lost a lot.

Kai and Sky would capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship twice and hold the titles for five months, but those reigns would consist of just two successful televised title defenses.

In May, Dakota suffered an ACL injury that has had her sidelined ever since. She returned to TV alongside Bayley and Iyo at SummerSlam and has been around in a managerial role. As one of only two Triple H re-signings to capture gold and a member of a stable that gets tons of TV time, she has to rank high on this list.
