Reason: "Not aggressive enough".

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have surely accepted their lot in WWE. They get to perform alongside real-life pal AJ Styles as The OC, and they've been used a little better since Paul Heyman's influence swept across episodes of Raw. Still, they're a shadow of their former selves in New Japan.

If only they were more aggressive.

New Day's Big E said on the team's 'Feel The Power' podcast that Michael Hayes expressed concerns back in 2016 about Gallows and Anderson. He said WWE were under the impression that the duo would be more threatening on screen. At no point did Hayes recognise that Gallows and Anderson were being booked in segments during which they carried fake testicles in a jar.

WWE deliberately cornered the tag-team with the sh*ttiest comedy routines they could and then shook their heads when Gallows and Anderson didn't come across as killers. Worse, the mud from those skits has stuck ever since.
