Exact Reasons These 10 Wrestlers Have Failed In WWE

4. Rusev

Reason: WWE don't know how to book him.

Rusev has been the stereotypical "anti-USA heel menace", a fun-loving babyface, a loving husband, a genuine threat, a jilted lover and a laid-back playboy during his run in WWE. That's a lot of ground to cover in six years on the main roster, and it proves that the company don't have a clue how to use him best.

In an interview with Lilian Garcia's 'Chasing Glory' podcast, Rusev admitted that his attempts to catch Vince McMahon's eye "never come to anything". The boss has blinkers on when it comes to the Bulgarian's talent, and he doesn't exactly see what fans seem to when they go daft for the guy.

Rusev is still over in spite of this wedding soap opera with Lana and Bobby Lashley. Think about that.

Someone with the staying power to overcome silly storylines deserves better, but he's forced to keep trying and trying to get in McMahon's good graces without much luck. Rusev's failure to become a sustainable main eventer isn't on him, it's on WWE.
