Jack Evans will finally make his return to IMPACT Wrestling at Emergence, the Anthem-helmed promotion has announced.

The former Hybrid2 man has been announced as the challenger for the X Division Championship during IMPACT's August special on IMPACT Plus and YouTube Ultimate Insiders. He'll challenge either 'Speedball' Mike Bailey or Rocky Romero, depending on who wins their title collision on next Thursday's IMPACT broadcast.

Regular IMPACT viewers will remember Jack Evans was initially scheduled for Slammiversary's Ultimate X match. His removal - and subsequent replacement in Andrew Everett - came after a nasty landing off a top-rope dive during a prior GCW card.

A company regular in both March 2004 and the summer of 2011, Jack Evans hasn't competed for IMPACT since September 2018. He contested a four-way contest with Puma King, Trevor Lee, and eventual winner Petey Williams in a match aired 11 October.

Most recently, Evans had been contracted to All Elite Wrestling as a company original, debuting on the inaugural Double or Nothing alongside Angelico. Jack's AEW deal did, however, expire this past April. The ex-AAA and PWG champion is now back to roaming indies, making his face known in the likes of GCW, PROGRESS, and VxS.
