Sheamus has expressed frustration at the Brawling Brutes' position in WWE, speaking openly on the trio's "stop/start" push on SmackDown.

In conversation with Metro's Alistair McGeorge, the former WWE Champion stated his belief that the promotion hasn't effectively capitalised on his stable with Ridge Holland and Butch. Sheamus finds the situation difficult when he is trying to put a spotlight on younger talent, calling the situation a "shame", though he remains hopeful of an opportunity for the Brawling Brutes to sink their teeth into something more substantial.

Said Sheamus:-

"I just don’t think they’ve really capitalised on the group, I don’t think they’ve really let us show what we can do. This stop/start stuff is really hard when you’re trying to highlight young talent. It’s frustrating, you know? So I dunno, maybe we’ll get an opportunity to show what we can really do as a group because a lot of those other groups who are out there now have definitely got an opportunity that we haven’t had to do some storyline stuff, some character stuff. ‘That’s kinda been a shame, mate, to be honest, considering the talent that’s in there."

Positioned alongside the Brutes for the bulk of the past couple of years, Sheamus has nonetheless enjoyed a sizeable singles push over the past 12 months, including a lauded clash with GUNTHER at Clash at the Castle last year. At WrestleMania39 , Sheamus, GUNTHER, and Drew McIntyre contested the Intercontinental Title in a universally beloved Triple Threat.

But trios opportunities have been fewer and further between for the Brawling Brutes. The group's last match as a full stable came against Imperium on SmackDown's 7 April episode.
