Full WWE Wrestlepalooza Betting Odds: Winners Revealed?! (WWE News)
Latest odds are VERY interesting, especially when it comes to John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar.
Betonline.ag has unveiled the latest WWE betting odds for this weekend's Wrestlepalooza PLE, and they make for fascinating reading. Here are the odds for the card's matches in full. Please note that "-" signifies favourites to win and "+" means somebody is considered the underdog. The amount next to each symbol represents how much cash someone would need to plonk down in order to win $100 back (-) and how much they'd get back for risking $100 (+).
So, those odds:
Cody Rhodes (-500) vs. Drew McIntyre (+300)
Stephanie Vaquer (-600) vs. IYO SKY (+350)
John Cena (-400) vs. Brock Lesnar (+250)
CM Punk & AJ Lee (-2000) vs. Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch (+700)
Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker (-600) vs. The Usos (+350)
Even if you're not into placing bets, this is still interesting. Cody Rhodes, Stephanie Vaquer, John Cena, CM Punk & AJ Lee, and the team of Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker are all faves to leave Wrestlepalooza with their hands in the air. In theory, that means the WWE Title is staying where it is, but it'll be Vaquer who seizes the vacant Women's World Championship.
Neither of those results would particularly surprise anybody who has been following WWE's weekly product closely, but Breakker and Reed being such heavy favourites over Jimmy and Jey Uso might come as a slight shock.
Odds For Cena vs. Lesnar Stand Out Most
Arguably the biggest story here comes when analysing the odds for Cena vs. Brock. John is a -400 favourite for the match, meaning punters would need to risk a whopping $400 just to win $100. Meanwhile, you'd get $250 back for every $100 risked on a Lesnar triumph.
In short, the bookmakers believe there's a very good chance it's 'Super Cena' who will come on top in this one, so they view putting down more money on his victory as a lower risk to betters.
That's...brave, but this is John's retirement tour, and we're in the last remaining dates of it. Is it unthinkable that he loses to Lesnar though? Hardly. Both men have a rich history as opponents, and Cena might want to put his old rival over one more time before bowing out of pro wrestling. Backstage, WWE's creative team could argue that a returning Brock needs this win more than a retiring JC.
Obviously, any self-respecting bookmaker would encourage people to bet responsibly.
