The saga of Bill Goldberg's WWE future rumbles on and on...

Bill Goldberg's WWE tenure is due to come to an end in around two months.

This is according to the WCW icon himself, who revealed as much on a new appearance on the Roman Atwood Podcast. Revealing this detail while telling a story about Stephanie McMahon, WWE's new co-CEO, asking him to stop headbutting doors en route to the ring, Goldberg noted the following (h/t Sportskeeda):-

"Stephanie [McMahon] if you're listening to this, my contract ends in two months. So don't hold this against me. Stephanie came up to me backstage one night and she said, 'I heard you've been head-butting the doors.' I'm like, 'Yeah, that's how I gotta be me.' She's like, 'I don't want you to headbutting any more doors.' (...) I put my head through a lot of things across the country from 94-97, and I guarantee you half of them are still there."

Goldberg, 55, hasn't wrestled for WWE since its last Saudi Arabian premium live event, Elimination Chamber 2022. The veteran lost to Universal Champion Roman Reigns via referee's decision on the 19 February show.

Speculation on Bill's future has endured since then, with conflicting reports emerging on his contract status. In July, Goldberg claimed he wasn't retired and still under WWE contract, waiting for his phone to ring.

Goldberg has been one of WWE's go-to part-timers since his sensational 2016 return to feud with Brock Lesnar. Whether or not this will remain the case under the company's new leadership remains to be seen, as Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Paul Levesque's attitude towards using names of the past is yet to become clear.
