Hot Wrestling Takes So BAD They'll MELT Your Brain
3. Steve Austin And Paul Heyman Prove Even The Greats Aren't Infallible
Cody Rhodes infamously lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
And, while Triple H had his Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made A Great Point moment - the Bloodline saga actually got hotter after the fact, at least until SummerSlam - WWE could have told the story without Roman holding both World titles. His holding those titles has precious little to do with the belts, and Seth Rollins as World Heavyweight title isn't even on the best workrate title run in the company.
WWE should have switched the title. This is very clear in September, but it was clear in April too - but not to Steve Austin and Paul Heyman.
Heyman, you get it. He works for WWE and books Roman's creative. He's obviously going to think he's right, or say he's right even if he doesn’t believe his own garbage. He said: where does Cody go from there?
What?
He has a title run, the sort that happens all the time and has to happen eventually anyway, since Roman Reigns can't do this forever?
What does "where do you go from here?" even mean?
Is Roman the first ever wrestling champion?
Austin said it would have been "cliché" for Cody to win in a "storybook" ending, but he hardly volunteered to stare at the lights for Shawn Michaels because most expected an Austin win at WrestleMania 14.
