How 8 WCW Mega-Stars Fared In WWE

2. Sting

Sting is WCW through and through. He wears the promotion on his sleeve and had stayed loyal amongst his group of promotion-hopping peers throughout the thick of the Monday Night Wars. He is considered to be the last top-drawing WCW holdout to appear in a WWE ring, as we've recently witnessed. He's one of the few stars Eric Bischoff could probably claim as his, after Sting revamped his image in 1996 to combat the forces of the nWo. In 2001 on the final night of Nitro, the decorated star went out in fitting style when he stood side by side with Ric Flair as the final competitors in the show€™s history. Rather than jumping into an invasion storyline for Vince McMahon, the Stinger packed his bags and went home for a long hiatus from professional wrestling. It took 13 years for the vigilante to find his way into a WWE ring, when he stood toe-to-toe with WWE COO, Triple H, at Survivor Series 2014. Awesome. From there, WWE gave Sting the reigns to take us on a weekly ride live from Monday Night Raw. Who would have ever thought? Record-wise, he has not fared well in WWE, collecting zero wins in his two big matches. At 56, his age finally gave way during his bout with Seth Rollins, cutting short a comeback to the big stage in which many were hoping to witness Sting hoisting WWE gold for the first and probably last time. Nonetheless, both of his big matches were memorable and you can€™t argue that it didn€™t add to his legacy. Sting is in phenomenal physical shape, but father time isn€™t on his side. He took heat for appearing sluggish during his match with Rollins, but a dream match or two could still be in the cards for 2016.
