How Asuka Has Become WWE's Highlight In The Empty Arena Era

4. The Commentary Queen

On the 16 March edition of RAW, Asuka was put on the commentary team to, as Jerry Lawler put it, "...make some noise and make things as loud as possible".

It's safe to say she succeeded.

We discussed this last week, but it bears repeating here: love her or loathe her, Asuka took charge of this segment. What would otherwise have been the most forgettable match in the Mysterio-Andrade rivalry became a major talking point, with the Empress' enthusiastic support of Andrade and post-match nervous breakdown grabbing the attention of wrestling fans all over the internet. Even WWE have picked up on the fans' enthusiasm, as seen in this tweet from last week's SmackDown.

Another case of one of the world's most talented wrestlers grabbing an opportunity by the horns, Asuka's brief-but-brilliant stint as colour commentator revealed her as one of the most versatile and entertaining superstars in WWE.
