Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has published a substantial update on Bray Wyatt's release from WWE, killing the rumour that the 34-year-old was suffering from mental health issues during his post-WrestleMania 37 absence once and for all.

Sapp consulted with sources close to Bray on the rumours, which were referred to as "falsely reported mental health issues."

In addition, Wyatt is described as "100% healthy" and good to go in the ring. This follows on from a Sports Illustrated report stating that Bray was medically cleared to return two days before his WWE release.

Let go by WWE on 31 July, Wyatt's last match was against familiar foe Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37, where he lost a short bout due to Alexa Bliss' distraction. Fightful note that plans for this match changed significantly as WWE drew closer to the show.

Interestingly, the report adds that Wyatt had been working on his character while off television, having not appeared for WWE since April. He was originally due to return on last night's episode of Raw and provisional plans had been made for a comeback, though he was ultimately let go.

If bound by a standard 90-day non-compete clause, Wyatt will be able to appear for other wrestling promotions from 29 October.
