Huge Tag Team Reunion Expected To Headline AEW All Out 2025 (AEW News)

Edge and Christian are getting the band back together in AEW as Cope and Cage.

Cope returned following a 3 month absence from AEW screens to save classic on/off partner/enemy Christian Cage from a kicking at the hands of FTR and The Patriarchy at All In Texas on 12 July. The heel group were lining up a vicious conchairto on Cage before Cope's music hit and he rolled out to save the day - after picking Christian up, Cope then encouraged his old tag partner and childhood friend to find himself.

Now, Fightful Select reports (via Fightful Select Answers Q&A) that there's every chance that the old Edge and Christian pair will team up vs. FTR at All Out in Toronto on 20 September. AEW has to power through the next Forbidden Door pay-per-view on 24 August in London, England before reaching Canada, but that'll give this redemption story the chance to breathe on TV.

Fightful also stated that they'd "heard of Cope being discussed for a Double or Nothing return, but it was pushed back because Christian wanted to flesh out the Patriarchy story". Tony Khan gave Cage the chance to do that, but it's highly possible that this reunion with Cope was always AEW's long-term plan from the off.

There's value in both guys teaming together for the first time since uniting to defeat Alberto Del Rio and Brodus Clay on the 28 March 2011 edition of WWE's flagship show Raw. Edge retired shortly after that, and he didn't return to action until 2020. So, it's a huge coup for Khan to have Cope and Christian's first match as a tag team in over 14 years.

Cope and Cage vs. FTR duo Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler sounds close to being locked in as the main event for All Out.
