If WWE Was Being Honest About Seth Rollins: Part 2

Vince McMahon happy
WWE

WWE is the heel company. Rollins is the perfect fit for its face—but that is far from ideal. Seth Rollins is playing to the smart audience in the dumbest manner possible, and he can’t back his words up because the “best pro wrestling on the planet, period” is not a pro wrestling company. It’s sports entertainment, the tropes of which will embarrass and continue to embarrass him.

If WWE was being honest, they’d remove Rollins from his position as the face and spokesperson of the company, for the good of everybody. He is outright begging to turn heel, if he hasn’t turned himself already. So turn him heel. He’s a far better heel; he is naturally unlikable, his work isn’t that physical, and his athleticism feeds beautifully into his sh*thouse escapology bit.

But then what?

Who replaces Rollins, who sips from a chalice poisoned by Vince’s godawful dysentery? Does Kevin Owens, in three months’ time, do a lame impression of Randy Orton? Does Apollo Crews wear a sombrero to poke fun at Andrade?

Get rid of the dead tooth. The stench is overwhelming.
