IMPACT Slammiversary 2020: Every Debuting And Returning Star's Grade One Year On

4. The Good Brothers

This one is surprising.

When Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson confirmed they'd signed two-year contracts with IMPACT Wrestling, it could only mean great things, both for them as the Good Brothers and for IMPACT as a promotion.

Instead, they now act almost as secondary characters in the land of Kenny Omega. Obviously, Omega's involvement has brought new eyes to the Anthem-helmed promotion, but there's no denying that, from an IMPACT viewpoint, Gallows and Anderson have fallen off-track ever so slightly since 'The Best Bout Machine' was brought in by Don Callis.

Only last week did the former Bullet Club boys reenter the World Tag Team Championships scene, being booked in a four-way title picture for this year's Slammiversary. Their first foray in the title scene, which saw them dethrone the North at last year's Turning Point special in an enthralling contest, was fine. It got the titles on to AEW programming, but aside from that, you'd be remiss to forget they were ever champions. Their first defence didn't come until three months after.

While the pair have done some superb in-ring work with IMPACT (vs. Ace Austin and Madman Fulton, the North, the Rascalz, et al), they're easily more recognisable post-WWE for their efforts in AEW alongside Omega, the Young Bucks, and their various associates.
