IMPACT Wrestling Rebellion 2021: 8 Things That Must Happen
3. Taylor Wilde Returns
Taylor Wilde's IMPACT Wrestling return was scheduled to happen last year at March's Lockdown special, but due to the ongoing global b*stard, her return had to be pushed back to this year. April of this year, to be exact.
There are now only two opportunities for Wilde to see through this tease; Rebellion or next Thursday's episode of IMPACT. The former is the far better option. You see, Taylor has to be involved in a major story from the night of her return. That story is a Knockouts Championship rivalry vs. current champion Deonna Purrazzo.
'The Virtuosa' is slated to defend her title against Tenille Dashwood at the pay-per-view, a match that Deonna absolutely must win. There just isn't a reason for Tenille to become the champion right now, unless she wants to reignite her beef with Alisha Edwards over the title.
There's money to be made in Purrazzo vs. Wilde. Why not start this at Rebellion, and carry it right through to the summer's Slammiversary event?
It can easily be told from the viewpoint of Taylor was once the Ace of the knockouts division, but it's now Deonna who stands in the role. You just know it'll be a cracking match; it's all about how well the story is told going forward.
