Impact Wrestling Reveal New Match Type For No Surrender 2021
The latest creation from Impact Wrestling set for debut at No Surrender.
Ahead of their No Surrender special on Impact Plus on Saturday, 13 February, Impact Wrestling have unveiled a brand new match variant they've chosen to call the Triple Threat Revolver Match.
While it may seem complicated given there are eight participants involved, the rules are rather straightforward. Each 'match' will be a Triple Threat Match. Whenever someone is pinned or forced to submit, another man will enter. This continues until all eight men have entered, with the winner of the final Triple Threat Match being declared the overall winner.
Competing in the inaugural contest will be former X Division Champions Daivari, Suicide, Willie Mack, Ace Austin. and Chris Bey, former World Tag Team Champion Josh Alexander, the recently-returned Trey Miguel, and Super X Cup standout Blake Christian.
Blake is the most notable entrant here. Having had a breakout performance in the aforementioned tournament with matches vs. KC Navarro, Crazzy Steve, and eventual winner Ace Austin, Christian recently wrestled his final contest for his now-former home of Game Changer Wrestling. It's unknown at this time if he's officially signed to Impact Wrestling at the time of writing, though.
It was also confirmed that Eddie Edwards and Matt Cardona will wrestle the new alliance of Brian Myers and Hernandez at the special, stemming from Hernandez making his return this past Tuesday.
Here's how the No Surrender card currently looks, just over a week ahead of the event:
Impact World Championship: Rich Swann (c) vs. Tommy Dreamer
Impact World Tag Team Championships: The Good Brothers (c) vs. Private Party
Impact X Division Championship: TJP (c) vs. Rohit Raju
