Tony Khan and Bryan Danielson have a plan for AEW Collision in 2024, but...what is it?

Wrestling Observer chief Dave Meltzer explained on the latest Observer Radio show that Tony Khan and Bryan Danielson have a clear vision for what AEW's Collision weekly should be.

According to Meltzer, top AEW stars believe Collision should be about "building newer and younger talents". Dynamite is still considered the flagship All Elite show (no surprises there), but Collision is being viewed as a place to build for the company's future.

It's a showcase spot for when Khan wants to try on fresher faces in prominent situations. That rings true after seeing this past Saturday's episode. There, new AEW full-timer Bryan Keith had a well-received bout vs. Eddie Kingston. That's the kind of thing Tony and Bryan want to use Collision for going forwards.

Of course, AEW had to pivot with Collision once CM Punk left the promotion. The Saturday night show was originally set up as a vehicle for Punk, but now Khan and Danielson have morphed it into something different, and both want to push new faces.

Maintaining some semblance of visible difference between Dynamite and Collision remains a priority for AEW in 2024.
