Jack King's 10 Favourite WWE Matches Of All Time
7. Brock Lesnar Vs. Eddie Guerrero - No Way Out 2004
I'll preface this entry by saying that Eddie Guerrero is perhaps my favourite in-ring performer of all time. He was impossibly slick, technically superb, and knew perfectly how to convey the emotion of a match as heel or face.
The site of his only World Championship victory was No Way Out 2004, against a perfect monster heel in the hulking form of Brock Lesnar. The match was an emotional epic, stretching on for 30 minutes, and incorporating a brief run-in from Goldberg.
Thankfully, Goldberg's interference doesn't strip credit from Guerrero. He wins the match with a wonderful piece of cunning, reversing an F-5 onto the title belt itself, before kicking it out of the referee's view and hitting a climactic Frogsplash.
Hidden Highlight: First-time title celebrations are often wonderful, but this one takes the cake. Eddie clambers into the crowd, hugs his teary-eyed mother, and waves a Mexican flag around atop at the announce table.
