Jack King's 10 Favourite WWE Matches Of All Time
6. The Dudley Boyz Vs. The Hardy Boyz Vs. Edge & Christian - WrestleMania 17
Debate rages over which TLC match was better - this effort at WrestleMania 17, or its more innovative predecessor a year beforehand. Both were unquestionably fantastic, and equally represent the peak of WWE's take on chaotic, hardcore wrestling. However, I have to give the slight edge to TLC II, mainly because it contained one of the most perfectly-executed high spots ever seen on pay per view.
With Jeff Hardy dangling from the suspended title belts, Edge scaled a nearby ladder and launched into a breathtaking mid-air Spear, catching the babyface perfectly and drilling him down to the canvas. Bold men sold the devastation perfectly, and it is rightly remembered as the perfect cherry atop a delightfully destructive cake.
Of all the matches on this list, TLC II is probably the lightest on substance - but I can't help but love it regardless. It's pure Attitude Era junk food, and repeat viewing doesn't render it any less satisfying.
Hidden Highlight: Cameos from Lita, Spike Dudley and Rhyno all add to the carnage.
