Tatum Paxley's WWE NXT Women's Title reign lasted just 24 days. She dropped the belt to Jacy Jayne during the first week of the developmental brand's Gold Rush concept on Tuesday night in New York. That, for the record, makes Jayne a 2-time champ - she'd only lost the title to Paxley at Halloween Havoc on 25 October.

Jacy's first reign with the strap went approx 150 days. It remains to be seen if she'll enjoy a similar lengthy reign this time around. It's also unclear whether or not this was always the plan from Shawn Michaels and his NXT writing team. Tatum didn't really benefit from such a brief time in the championship hot seat, but some may argue that simply winning the belt from Jayne at Havoc was her big moment.

Izzi Dame turned on her partner in The Culling to force the title change. In effect, that means Paxley will be a babyface character on NXT programming going forwards. The announcers put over how despicable Dame's actions were as she celebrated with new champ Jayne.

This title change has made history for multiple reasons. Firstly, Tatum Paxley now has the dubious erm...honour of having the shortest reign in the history of the NXT Women's Title. The closest run in terms of length to her 24 day stint was Indi Hartwell's 31 day run in 2023.

Meanwhile, Jacy Jayne has just entered the record books alongside Charlotte Flair, Shayna Baszler and Roxanne Perez as the only 2-time NXT Women's Champions in the brand's history.
