Jeff Hardy Returns On This Week's WWE SmackDown

It's official: Hardy is on his way back to WWE.

Jeff Hardy's proper WWE return has finally been confirmed, with the promotion announcing that the tag wrestling legend will be in the house for this Friday's episode of SmackDown.

Here's the dot com copy:-

"After being away from the squared circle for nearly a year, Jeff Hardy is set to return on Friday Night SmackDown. The Charismatic Enigma has built a career of taking risks and dreaming big. What will the former WWE Champion have in store for a grand blue brand return?"

Also confirmed for this week's SmackDown is an appearance from former General Manager Paige, who has "vowed to confront Bayley" on FOX.

Hardy was shot back into the WWE Universe's collective consciousness through an appearance on last week's episode of Backstage, during which he confirmed that he had been cleared to return to the ring. There's no word on whether Friday's appearance will involve wrestling or not.

Jeff has been out of action since just after WrestleMania 35. A serious injury forced him and brother Matt to vacate the SmackDown Tag Team Championships and two arrests further hindered Hardy's progress during his time away. Now, finally, he's coming back.
