Kane has all-but confirmed his retirement save for one last match alongside The Undertaker. 'The Big Red Machine' spoke in depth about his exit strategy as well as 'The Deadman' himself during a recent appearance on Corey Graves' After The Bell podcast.

He said; "Oh, you may [see him wrestle again]. I mean, when WWE came to Knoxville earlier this year, I won the 24/7 Championship and then lost it a short time later. But then I came out on this show as well, so. You know...I’m never gonna leave WWE. Like anyone that’s been there for a long period of time, I don’t think you ever want to. And man, I’d love like one last match with Undertaker against someone. That would be so awesome...In WWE, you never say never. And when it comes to me, that’s how I treat my career going forward."

On The Undertaker, and specifically how he's chosen to embrace his out-of-character side in recent years, he noted that; "Well, I think like everyone I have mixed feelings about it. I think overall it’s good. We’re people, and we portray a character. And I think everybody knows that, of course. And I think sometimes that that was taken so seriously that it was almost comic, right? Just, everybody knows that we’re characters on TV.

Opining further on his storyline sibling, he said; "The great thing about a character like The Undertaker, or hopefully about Kane, is when the character comes back out people believe in the character. I think that a guy like Mark opening up and talking about all of these different things, I mean, gosh what a perspective that guy has, right? And what knowledge and he’s been there for everything and knows more about than almost anybody else. And he’s a great guy, he’s a really cool dude. So to see him be able to do stuff like that, I think it is refreshing."
