With it reported earlier this year that Karrion Kross' WWE deal was up at some point in 2025, there's now an update on not just Kross but also Scarlett Bordeaux.

Per Fightful Select, both Kross and Scarlett signed three-year deals in August 2022 which would keep them with WWE until this August. That means that, unless an agreement has been reached to extend those contracts, the two would be free agents next month.

However, while there is no news just yet on any extension having been signed, those Fightful spoke to within WWE fully expect Kross and Scarlett to be staying with the company. On this point, the two have been regularly featured on WWE programming in recent weeks and months, Karrion got his first PLE match since WrestleMania 40 at Night of Champions last weekend, and he's also recently received new merchandise.

So, despite no confirmation on either Karrion Kross or Scarlett Bordeaux having re-signed with WWE, all signs seem to point to them remaining with the promotion.

The Resurrection Of Karrion Kross

Having cut his teeth in the likes of Future Stars of Wrestling, Global Force Wrestling, and the much-missed Lucha Underground, Killer Kross picked up a whole bunch of momentum in AAA and TNA - then known as Impact Wrestling - before signing with WWE in 2020.

As Karrion Kross, the New Yorker would land in NXT and defeat Keith Lee for the NXT Championship barely three months after his in-ring debut for the brand. An unfortunate shoulder injury sustained in that match against Limitless meant Kross was forced to immediately vacate that title, though he'd become a two-time NXT Champion by beating Finn Balor at Stand & Deliver in April 2021.

Despite being presented as a monster during that time with NXT, Karrion Kross was one of several successful NXT acts who were bungled upon making it to the main roster, as seen by his first Raw match - as NXT Champion still, no less - being a loss to Jeff Hardy in under two minutes. And that's without making mention of the ridiculous attire poor Kross was lumbered with upon being formally called up. It was unfortunately no real surprise when Karrion Kross and Scarlett were released in November 2021, just three months after Kross became an official part of the Raw roster.

When Kross and Scarlett returned to WWE in the summer of 2022, it looked as if they'd be used in a more prominent role, as shown by how the two were immediately dropped into the Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre of the time. Still, despite having a brief rivalry with McIntyre, it didn't take long for Karrion to be left spinning his wheels lower down the card or as part of the forgettable Final Testament.

Entirely to his own credit, Karrion Kross spent the end of 2024 and start of 2025 generating plenty of buzz for himself on social media, showing his personality and entertainment value regardless of his lack of WWE TV time. Generating a groundswell of support, Kross' sporadic, minimal TV appearances were constantly reacted to in a major way by the fans in attendance, and his involvement in the AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul match at WrestleMania 41 was greeted by one of the biggest pops of the weekend. Since then, Karrion and Scarlett have switched their focus from AJ to Sami Zayn, complete with Kross vs. Zayn taking place at Night of Champions last weekend. While Karrion came up short in that match, this week's Raw saw that rivalry continue as Kross attacked Sami backstage.

To see the reactions he now receives, it's a testament to the hard work and creativity of Karrion Kross, who has been the very epitome of the classic "maximising your minutes" phrase.
