With Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux now reportedly done with WWE, Kross has provided an insight into how WWE handled the ever-growing groundswell of support he's been receiving in recent months.

Speaking in the second part of his The Killer documentary - released last night on the day of his WWE exit - Kross explained how he was told to ignore that positive reaction.

As the former NXT Champion detailed (via f4wonline):

"I remember in the beginning people were saying, 'Hey, I wouldn’t take it seriously, it’s not going to last' or 'Hey, let’s see if it’s for real when you go out there tonight or if it’s still there when we’re in a different city or a different state'. Then, when it was still there and it got louder and louder and louder every week, that went away, and it was kinda like, 'Well, we’re not really ready to fully embrace that.' I was being told by certain people, ‘Don’t acknowledge it,' which felt really wrong, because having a connection with the audience, especially one that is like this, this doesn’t just come around for everybody. It wasn’t something that was constructed or thought of. This happened organically through a series of events, and I wouldn’t even say it’s something that happened recently this year. This is something that is happening because of what has happened over the last three years.”

Kross would go on to say that it didn't feel good that things weren't going in the direction that fans were wanting them to, and a clip of Triple H mistaking "We Want Kross" chants for "We Want Brock" during the SummerSlam post-show was followed by comments about how you can't ignore what your fans want.

The contracts of Karrion Kross and Scarlett formally expired at midnight last night, making the pair free agents who could feasibly turn up in another wrestling promotion from today. While there is still a chance that this could well be a work and part of a wider storyline, Fightful Select reports that the situation appears legitimate.
