Kurt Angle's 6 WWE Title Reigns Ranked From Worst To Best
2. WWE Championship (5th) 27 July 2003 - 16 September 2003
After wrestling the main event of WrestleMania XIX with a broken freakin' neck against Brock Lesnar (imagine that!), our 'Olympic Hero' made his return a number of months later to capture Brock's title at July's Vengeance, in a triple threat match that also featured Big Show.
The intense and consistent Angle had some notable matches with Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker throughout this reign.
The run is truly memorable, though, for the fantastic backstage segments and promos between Angle and 'The Next Big Thing'. The two made SmackDown an absolute joy to watch on a weekly basis and continued to deliver absolute masterpieces inside the squared circle.
Brock would eventually turn heel, however, and he would also end Angle's third reign with the WWE Championship in a spectacular Iron Man Match... on free television!
Kurt Angle was absolutely tremendous throughout this awesome, yet somewhat brief, reign that ultimately left fans wanting more. It would turn out to be his last reign as WWE Champion, and also one of his best, for his tremendous storyline with Lesnar alone.
