Lex Luger Announced For WWE Hall Of Fame 2025 (WWE News)
Cody Rhodes surprised an emotional Luger with shock WWE Hall Of Fame news.

Lex Luger will be inducted into WWE's Hall Of Fame as part of the 2025 class during WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas. The company broke that news via their social media channels on Friday evening, but Lex had actually found out long before the video surfaced.
At time of writing, only Triple H, Michelle McCool, The Natural Disasters and now Luger have been confirmed for the HOF this April. Other legends rumoured include longtime favourites Demolition, but nothing has been formally announced on that front quite yet. Like Lex, Ax and Smash have been waiting a while to get the nod, and it often seemed like it'd never come.
Luger initially joined the then-WWF in 1992 following a success spell in the NWA/WCW. The multiple-time World Champion was brought on board by Vince McMahon to front his offshoot World Bodybuilding Federation, but he switched to full-time wrestler in 1993 once the WBF flopped and that ambassadorial role ended.
Lex continued working in-ring for the fed until he shockingly jumped ship to WCW and debuted on the first episode of Nitro in September 1995. Reportedly, nobody on the WWF side knew that was a possibility, but Luger's contract had ticked down. It was quite the oversight, and Eric Bischoff was only too keen to take advantage by bringing Lex in.
The soon-to-be honoured Luger didn't return to the WWF/WWE once McMahon acquired remnants of WCW in 2001. In fact, it seemed like he'd never be seen again due to the 1995 WCW leap and various health problems and controversies that blighted his life away from the ring.
Cody Rhodes Surprised Luger With WWE's News

WWE poster boy Cody Rhodes was the one who told Lex that he'd be getting inducted into the 2025 Hall Of Fame on 19 February. The reigning WWE Champion strolled into the room during a yoga session Diamond Dallas Page was conducting with Luger, which came as a real surprise to Lex, then broke the news.
Emotions ran high as both embraced, and it was clear that Luger was totally blindsided by the announcement. The fact DDP had cameras there wasn't unusual; he's been helping his old peer regain strength following years of serious health problems, and Page has even had some success with getting Lex to stand up. That's been a massive breakthrough considering he was wheelchair bound for many years.
This is just the latest miracle DDP has been working. The former WCW World Champion has earned plaudits for his stellar work with countless pro wrestlers over the years, and now there's a real chance Luger will be able to physically stand on stage (at least for a while) and give his acceptance speech at the WWE Hall Of Fame.
Congrats to Lex. He deserves this platform.
