Major SmackDown Stars Set For WWE Raw Season Premiere
WWE stacks Raw's deck with top SmackDown stars ahead of special 10 October episode.
WWE programming is about to enter "season premiere" territory - and the promotion appears to be stacking the deck for the 10 October episode of Raw.
The promotion is already putting effort into hyping that week's Raw and SmackDown special Season Premiere broadcasts, including the big announcement that Roman Reigns and The Bloodline will be at the 10 October Raw show.
This will be WWE's first television show after 8 October's Extreme Rules 2022 premium live event. Reigns is not expected to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the PLE, with a Crown Jewel 2022 (5 November) showdown with Logan Paul likely to be the next time he steps between the ropes.
WWE's loose brand split allows for wrestlers to frequently appear on both mean roster shows. The Bloodline were represented by Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn on this week's Raw, with Zayn besting AJ Styles in a well-received singles match.
Season Premiere specials have become regular fixtures on the WWE calendar since 2019, when the promotion's bumper television rights contracts with USA Network and Fox came into play. Reigns and The Bloodline's presence alone should help put extra eyes on the 10 October show.
