The Broserweights are your new NXT Tag Team Champions, having defeated The Undisputed Era's Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly in an outstanding clash at TakeOver: Portland last night.

A stunning example of classically-structured tag team wrestling updated for the modern era, Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle were on fire from the moment they showed up in their customised golf cart. A ripping battle rife with teased dissension spots followed before the Broserweights finally scored the victory by nailing their Bitter Bro combo finisher.

The Tag Team Championships were the only titles to change hand last night, with Adam Cole (NXT Title), Rhea Ripley (NXT Women's Title), and Keith Lee (NXT North American Title) all successful in defending their straps.

Other newsworthy events emanating from Portland include an unexpected Johnny Gargano heel turn. Having lost to Finn Balor earlier in the evening, Gargano betrayed former #DIY partner Tommaso Ciampa against Cole, pulling the NXT Championship belt away from him before whacking him with the strap, allowing Cole to score a roll-up victory. Their feud is now rekindled.

Elsewhere, former Mae Young Classic competitor Raquel (nee: Reina) Gonzalez was reintroduced as a full-timer, aligning with Dakota Kai during the New Zealander's Street Fight with Tegan Nox.
