Into SEVEN PIECES.

New AEW man Malakai Black told Sean Waltman's 'Pro Wrestling 4 Life' podcast about one of the nastiest injuries he's ever suffered. It happened back in 2018 during a sprint towards the fourth NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn special that August.

Black told a horrified Waltman (who suffered a nasty anal tear himself many moons ago) that he wasn't selling when he landed crotch-first onto the ring post during a spot with Tommaso Ciampa. Soldiering on, the then-Aleister finished the rest of the bout, but crumpled to the floor in agony as soon as he returned back behind the curtain approx 22 minutes later.

Incredibly, some of his WWE peers though Black was joking around about the injury. Then, it became clear that he wasn't, and Chris Hero (Kassius Ohno) suggested that Al go to hospital ASAP. There, doctors revealed that Black had torn one of his testicles into seven painful little pieces.

That. Is. Grim.

Worse, Black had to wait between six-seven hours before he could get surgery to repair the damage. Here's hoping docs gave him some painkillers and avoided Vince McMahon-like penis jokes during that agonising downtime.

It's amazing that he was able to continue wrestling at all, let alone for another 22 minutes.
