With contracts being a heavy part of the news cycle in the past few months, Randy Orton has now signed a new multi-year deal to remain with WWE.

As per Fightful Select, Randal Keith has agreed a five-year extension that will keep him with WWE until late 2029.

Previously, Orton signed a new deal back in 2019 after some very public flirting with AEW. Ultimately, that led to a Tony Khan post on X taking a shot at Randy for only tagging him on the platform if he was after leverage when negotiating a new WWE deal, to which Orton responded by calling Khan the "Jacksonville Dixie" - a reference to former TNA President Dixie Carter - and noting how, if he wanted to talk business, he'd speak to Tony's father, Shahid Khan.

Given how Randy Orton has missed significant ring time as part of that five-year deal signed in 2019, Fightful reached out to a WWE source to ask why the company would agree a new deal now rather than extend the prior deal due to time missed through injury. On that front, the response was "not confirming that they did sign a new deal, but the guaranteed money associated with contracts now is a drastic shift from what it was in 2019. There have been changes to our live event schedule, touring, international dates, media obligations, merchandise and social media that would be much more fair to just reach a new deal in many situations".

To date, the Viper has been with WWE for a mammoth 24 years, signing with the promotion in 2000 ahead of making his main roster debut in 2002. During that time, Randy has become a 14-time World Champion, a one-time Intercontinental Champion, a one-time United States Champion, a four-time Tag Team Champion, a two-time Royal Rumble winner, a Money in the Bank winner, and has the Guinness World Record for the most PPV appearances by a male wrestler.
