New AEW Signing Confirmed - Stardom Links DENIED!

AEW quietly signed THIS rising star to a deal months ago.

Megan Bayne
AEW

AEW signed rising wrestling star Megan Bayne to a contract several months ago, reports Fightful Select.

Bayne, 25, is currently touring with market-leading joshi group Stardom in Japan. Fightful notes that AEW hadn't come up with creative plans for her as of summer, opting instead to send her to Stardom, where she "has been refining her work."

Stardom has denied the AEW connection, posting, in a since-deleted tweet:

"No wrestler has ever been sent by AEW to come to Stardom. Not once."

Nonetheless, Bayne is signed to AEW and has been working for Stardom since July, when she was immediately placed into a top-level feud with World of Stardom champion Tam Nakano.

Considered amongst the independent wrestling scene's brightest prospects pre-signing, Bayne worked a handful of Dark matches for AEW in 2022, unfortunately suffering a serious ACL injury that left her sidelined for over a year. She returned to the independents this past April, and worked an untelevised AEW tag match in June, before heading off to Stardom the following month.

There is currently no word on how long Bayne will remain with Stardom before making the full-time jump to AEW.
