Yesterday brought the announcement that Ring of Honor will return with its annual Supercard of Honor event on Friday 1 April, ending what will be a four-month hiatus following 11 December's Final Battle 2021 event.

Figure Four Online/The Wrestling Observer's Brian Alvarez has now provided an update on ROH's post-return plans. Going forward, the promotion will be focusing primarily on its men's and women's World Titles along with its Tag Team Championships, all of which will continue to be defended in other promotions.

The idea, according to Alvarez, is for whoever holds these straps to feel like "old-school touring World Champions."

Though 1 April has been formally announced for Supercard of Honor, the Sinclair-helmed group's weekly television show will likely start airing these bouts from other companies in mid-March.

The three-title plan means that ROH's other titles (Television, Six-Man Tag Team) will be put on ice. Josh Woods currently holds the former, while the latter is held by Bateman, Dutch, and Vincent of The Righteous.

ROH began the process of releasing all contracted talent following the announcement that it was going on hiatus. Per Dave Meltzer, the company will work exclusively with uncontracted wrestlers going forward.
