NJPW Star Labels AEW's Jack Perry A "Little Rat"

This NJPW favourite calls Jack Perry a "little rat" and mocks him for not being booked in AEW.

With Jack Perry having turned up in New Japan Pro-Wrestling last month - tearing up his AEW contract after attacking Shota Umino at NJPW Battle in the Valley - one particular New Japan star who doesn't appear to have any time for the former Jungle Boy, is Gabe Kidd.

Taking to X, the Bullet Club War Dogs man called Perry a "little rat", offered to "scrap backstage" in Chicago, and noted how the AEW talent "can't get booked" in his own promotion.

Yesterday saw Jack Perry formally announced for NJPW Windy City Riot on 12 April from Chicago's Wintrust Arena.

Many presumed that Perry - who donned an armband with the word "scapegoat" on it for his Battle in the Valley appearance - would be going up against Shota Umino at Windy City Riot, and while that will still likely be the case, Gabe Kidd has certainly moved to stir things up for an eventual encounter between him and the one-time Jungle Express star.

In terms of NJPW Windy City Riot, the only announced matches as of this writing are Tetsuya Naito vs. Jon Moxley, and Hiromu Takahashi vs. Mustafa Ali. Also confirmed for the show are Tomohiro Ishii, Ren Narita, and the Guerrillas of Destiny duo of Hikuleo and El Phantasmo.

As for Jack Perry, he of course hasn't wrestled since AEW All In last August, where he dropped the FTW Title to Hook on the PPV's Zero Hour pre-show. Infamously, that match would immediately be followed by a backstage altercation between Perry and CM Punk; an altercation that led to Jack Perry being suspended and to CM Punk being fired "for cause".
