NXT: 10 Worst Creative Decisions Of The Full Sail Era
1. Bullfit
This is actually worse than anything that happened on NXT before 2012.
Ten years ago Bull's size and look would have made him an imposing monster heel, but it seems NXT already have enough big men running around. So we get Bull being shamed on TV for being out of shape and being made to embarrass himself in ridiculous 90s style exercise montages.
Sure maybe Bull is on board with it, or maybe he, like all NXT superstars has been conditioned to agree with what comes his way. If he had refused to do the storyline, it's likely someone else would be getting his TV time every week. Even in this improved developmental system, wrestlers are still having to just accept what they're given and be grateful for the opportunity.
And sure maybe this is more playful than WWE's previous attempts at shaming their wrestlers to lose weight (Piggy James) but everything about this angle feels cheesy, cartoonish and about twenty years out of date.
Maybe there will be a satisfying payoff to this storyline as it's still admittedly ongoing. But until that day comes, the fans are going to have to wade through a ton of Bullfit.
