NXT: 10 Worst Creative Decisions Of The Full Sail Era

4. Bo Dallas Babyface Push

Bo Dallas eventually found his stride with the Bo-lieve gimmick - not that it's doing him much good on the main roster. But during the early days of NXT he was presented as one of it's top babyface stars. Fans did not like it.

Similar to Mojo Rawley, Bo was expected to get over, working alongside indy darlings like Seth Rollins, Kassius Ohno and Neville. Fans barely registered the smiley faced superstar.NXT had evolved. It was becoming a third brand with it's diverse roster of international superstars and blended styles.

Bo was a remnant of FCW, regarded by many as WWE's robot factory. His unremarkable style, generic look and dumb name, all reeked of something McMahon-ufactured on an assembly line. He never stood a chance as a babyface.

Yet unlike Mojo Rawley, Bo was pushed relentlessly. Maybe Triple H really believed he was the guy, maybe it was his family connections (for the five people who don't know, his father is Irwin R Shyster and his brother is Bray Wyatt). Bo was chosen to dethrone Big E and held the NXT Championship for nearly a year until he was mercifully defeated by Neville at the first ever TakeOver event Arrival.

During his reign he turned heel by playing the exact same generic smiling babyface he had always been, admittedly a stroke of genius. Still, it's hard to believe that this guy was the face of NXT for nearly a year.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
