Watching them in NXT, it was obvious that Enzo and Big Cass had something special, but I don’t know if anybody realised just how big of a hit they were going to be once the call-up came. Their act is tailor-made for the main roster – catchphrase heavy and all charisma – and they’ve blown the roof off of nearly every arena they’ve appeared in since their debut.

WWE obviously have high hopes for Cass as a singles star as evidenced by the fact that he was included in the four-way for the WWE Universal championship, and while they’re not wrong to see a big future in him, hopefully they don’t look past Enzo In order to get there. Smacktalker Skywalker has been lighting venues on fire with his promos, and when you have that much personality you can get away with not being Dean Malenko between the ropes.

The duo have quickly become one of the most over acts on the roster, are selling a ton of merch and have managed to bridge the gap between casual and smark love, which is a difficult thing for talents to do. The only problem they’re going to face is a lack of credible teams, so hopefully we see WWE create some new adversaries for them to square off against before they start spinning their wheels or get prematurely split apart.
