Power Ranking WWE's 10 Top Performers For September 2016
7. Charlotte
When ranking the Four Horsewomen, Charlotte is undoubtedly not the best ring worker of the four – that accolade belongs to Becky Lynch – but she has managed to become the most complete package out of the quartet of immensely talented workers named after her father’s infamous stable.
WWE has a real problem right now where no one wants to boo the heels or cheer for the faces. It’s partly because all the villains are so talented and entertaining that it’s hard to root against them while the babyfaces are bland and lacking in anything resembling fire. Charlotte has managed to break that mould and become one of the only true heels in the company that draws the appropriate reactions.
In the short time that she’s been a heel she’s developed quite a bit, and getting out from under her father’s wing (and shadow) seems to have done wonders for her confidence.
She’s more comfortable in her role and has really blossomed into the despicable cheating champion that she’s been cast as, while the contemporary whom many had pegged as the can't-miss prospect - Sasha Banks - has had trouble connecting as well as we'd hoped. The issue with Sasha is that "The Boss" is a character tailor-made to be a heel, and trying to force her into the face role isn't clicking.
Add in the fact that the women aren't protected as well as they were in NXT, and you're starting to see some weaknesses slip through. That being said, they're all still excellent at their jobs, it's just that right now Charlotte is the one who seems to be really finding her groove.
