Predicting All 15 WWE Champions One Year From Now

5. Intercontinental Champion: Daniel Bryan

Though many fans would prefer to see Daniel Bryan established as a strong WWE Champion long before this time next year, that isn't a prediction this writer can make in good conscience.

The 37-year-old may hold the gold between now and then, but the company haven't, historically, booked Bryan as 'The Guy,' and that's unlikely to change. Furthermore, there's nothing to suggest that their stance on his status has shifted since he returned from injury, though the Miz feud has enjoyed a significant spotlight.

That being said, Bryan would make a great candidate to lift the Intercontinental Title's prestige to another level. The belt has enjoyed fair treatment in 2018, with Seth Rollins' excellent runs partially restoring its former credibility, and it's perfectly conceivable that Bryan could slot into a similar role next summer. Perhaps he loses the long-term Miz programme, finds himself banished to Monday Night Raw, and settles into a new position as secondary champion on Roman Reigns' brand.
