Predicting All 15 WWE Champions One Year From Now
6. United States Champion: EC3
A clunky, antiquated wrestler he may be, but EC3 was main roster ready from the day he walked into WWE. He's big, muscular, carries himself like a star, has a great look, and can talk. This makes him Vince McMahon's wet dream, and while EC3 feels like a black sheep on NXT's roster of hyper-athletic in-ring marvels, this wouldn't be an issue on Raw or SmackDown.
EC3's positive attributes should be enough to guarantee a decent push. It's easy to see him slotting into a midcard champion role, and if he lands on SmackDown, WWE will likely present him as a potential US Title competitor from day one.
The main worry here is that the company make the same mistakes they did with Bobby Roode, first by calling EC3 up as a miscast babyface, then throwing away everything that once made him magnetic, before demoting him down the card. A solid midcard gatekeeper's role looks likelier, though.
