Predicting All 15 WWE Champions One Year From Now
1. Universal Champion: Roman Reigns
Raw is Roman Reigns' world; everyone else is just living in it.
'The Big Dog' is going nowhere. Finally crowned WWE's undisputed alpha, he'll anchor the Universal Title scene for months (and perhaps years) to come. He won't always hold the belt, but he'll never be far from contention, and no current performer can ever hope to usurp him as 'The Guy.'
As if further evidence was needed, WWE recently turned their most popular male babyface, Braun Strowman, to preserve Roman's popularity. They may never get him cheered to the level they'd like, but they'll never give up.
Reigns' lofty status isn't necessarily a problem in and of itself, though his presentation will continue to drive certain sects of fans around the bend. Nonetheless, there's no better pick to hold the Universal Title a year from now. The Strowmans of the world will have opportunities with the gold, but WWE are always going to come back to Roman, regardless of crowd reactions.
Let's just hope that no matter what Reigns' future brings, WWE hold back on telling stories as tedious as this year's Brock Lesnar rivalry during his time on top.
