The narcissist is a stock character in the world of professional wrestling. Countless performers, from the 'Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels to the 'Model' Rick Martel have incorporated a shallow obsession with their looks, talents and selves into their characters. The main WWE roster currently has The Miz playing such a character, but NXT features a much better modern twist on the archetype in the form of Tyler Breeze, who has come a long way since his days as the bland and boring Mike Dalton. Armed with a mobile phone that live streams his face to the big screen (and which he has been known to use to take selfies in the ring and atop of downed opponents), Breeze is loved by the NXT crowd and loudly cheered every time he makes an appearance, despite being a heel. Chants of 'Breeze is gorgeous' are a regular occurrence, whilst the annoucement that 'Tyler Breeze has entered/left the building' always garners a rapturous response. Few developmental performers in recent years have become so immersed in their character, but Breeze makes for lighthearted heel gold with his wit and persona, even if he is arguably a carbon copy of Zoolander (Ben Stiller's character in the film of the same name) in terms of his style and mannerisms (such as investigating the possibility of cloning himself in order to have a tag team partner). He's not going to be winning world championships anytime soon, but Breeze could certainly make an impact on the main roster, and his act could be a highlight for years to come if he isn't instantly booked as a comedy jobber in the vein of Fandango. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ7q4cVHTSM
