Predicting The Next 10 WWE World Champions

Who is destined to follow Drew McIntyre and hold World Title gold on WWE Raw?

WWE

Considered by many to be the most coveted prize in the WWE landscape (well, on Monday Night Raw at least), the WWE Championship is a beacon of hope, promise and opportunity that reels in challenger after challenger month after month. But the one thing that stands between those challengers and that beacon is, of course, the WWE Champion himself - a title that Drew McIntyre has held for much of 2020.

A two-time WWE Champion, McIntyre has only just recently kicked off his second reign as champion - something you'd be forgiven for forgetting considering that he pretty much held the gold all year round post-WrestleMania before losing to and regaining it from Randy Orton within a couple of weeks. However, the 'Scottish Pyschopath' won't be on the top of the mountain forever and there's a separate mountain of challengers just waiting for a chance to take the belt from him.

With that in mind, let's dive into the current Raw roster and see if we can predict which Superstars will be wearing that coveted WWE Title strap over their shoulders in the weeks and months ahead.

10. Sheamus

It's been a long time since Sheamus held the WWE Championship and he's far too close to it right now not to find himself in the title picture. Oh sure, WWE's resident 'Fella' is best friends with current champion Drew McIntyre, but what's a couple of Brogue Kicks between besties?

WWE has done a pretty solid job teasing a potential feud between the friends because it's honestly hard to tell if it's going to lead to a bitter rivalry - after all, they're perfectly happy to batter each other in the backstage area one moment and fight a common enemy in the next. But since they're teasing us with fisticuffs already, does it have long-term potential or will this "slow burn" incinerate in the coming weeks?

Whether or not it turns ugly - as most WWE friendships do - don't be surprised if the two big brutes end up battling each other on PPV in the very near future. And also don't be surprised if Sheamus finds a way to turn back the clock and win the WWE Championship for the first time in five years.

You heard it here first, fella.
