Predicting The Next Holder Of Every Active WWE Championship
5. WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
Currently held by: Charlotte Flair.
Dissecting the future of the SmackDown Women's Championship proves a tad trickier than some of the other titles featured here. It's only just recently changed hands at the time of writing, moving from Ronda Rousey back to the shoulder of Charlotte Flair following the Queen making her bold return to company programming on the 30 December blue brand broadcast. Playing hot potato with Rousey won't please anybody, so who, realistically, dethrones Charlotte?
Predicted next champion: Rhea Ripley.
What is a good stable without the championships and accolades to back it up?
With reports that the Judgement Day quartet of Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, and Dominik Mysterio is packing up shop and moving to Friday nights, there's never been a better time for them to chase gold, particularly given who the reigning SmackDown Women's Champion is.
At WrestleMania 36, Rhea Ripley dropped the NXT Women's Championship to Charlotte Flair, her desirable momentum ceasing to exist as her impeccable run from late 2019 onwards came to a sudden end. She's yet to get back to the position she once held, though this appears to be on the up as Ripley was rumoured to be clashing with ex-champion Ronda Rousey at 'Mania 39. Swap out Ronda for Charlotte and the story writes itself.
