Quarterfinal Round Match: Dean Ambrose Pins Kevin Owens
After this week's programming, it's clear that WWE is building up to a match between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose - Ambrose eliminated the Intercontinental Champion from a Survivor Series-style bout on Raw, while some ingenious lying from the Quebecer allowed him to pull out a disqualification win over Ambrose in a singles match on Smackdown. The two will clash at the Survivor Series as planned, but it won't be for the Intercontinental Championship - it'll be for a spot in the tournament's semifinal round. The unorthodox brawlers will fight tooth and nail to advance, with high-risk moves eventually taking the place of simple punches and kicks - Ambrose will use suicide dives and suicidal elbows, while Owens pulls out sentons and moonsaults. In the end, the Intercontinental Champion will send Ambrose to the ropes and launch him in the air for the Pop-Up Powerbomb... only for Ambrose to land behind him, turn him around, and hit the Dirty Deeds for the pin.
