8. Scott Hall (vs. Steve Austin) - WrestleMania 18
Once known as Razor Ramon, Scott Hall would depart the then-WWF in 1996, infamously forming the nWo faction with Hulk Hogan and his running buddy, Kevin Nash in WCW. A lot of success - and money - followed, but Hall was arguably never the same performer once he hung up the Razor schtick. Returning to the WWE fold in 2002, Hall was immediately thrust into a feud opposite one of the promotions biggest stars, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, and the pair would tussle at Wrestlemania X8, Hall's first 'Mania appearance since 1995. Rumour has it that Austin was none too thrilled about his mid-card placement against the incoming WCW grappler, and the match wasn't exactly a trademark performance from either man. It's a case of what might have been here - had it been Hall circa 1996 tangling with Austin, in-ring magic would surely have happened, but Hall was not the performer he had been just 6 years prior. As it stands, even though he left with his hand raised, this must surely rank as one of the poorest Wrestlemania memories Steve Austin has.
