Ranking 15 Four Horsemen - From Worst To Best
1. Ric Flair
Over the many years that the Horsemen were active, there were two permanent members but only one true leader. Arn Anderson was there all of the time, but he was one of three (or more) members of the group whose sole purpose was to ensure Ric Flair remained at the top of the NWA and subsequently WCW. It is Flair’s position that really set the stall out for almost every stable to come. With a main event talent on top, a number of midcard performers would rally around with the aim to ensure the number one keeps their title, elevating themselves through association and subsequent story.
This was pretty much invented by Flair and the Horsemen. Sure, they weren’t the first stable in the history of professional wrestling, but it’s difficult to argue against them being the most important. As a Horseman, Flair won 14 of his 16 World Championships along with one United States Championship.
The Four Horsemen basically existed for the benefit of Ric Flair, so of course he is number one on this list.
