Ranking 2017's WWE PPV Endings: From Worst To Best
7. Elimination Chamber: Bray's Big Night
2017 hasn't been a great in-ring year for WWE, and you can count the number of truly world-class one-on-one bouts on a single hand. They have, however, succeeded in delivering a long series of chaotic multi-man main events, with Extreme Rules and SummerSlam standing proudly among 2017's finest, and Money In The Bank of a similar standard.
Elimination Chamber sat snugly on the same line of best fit. It was one of the strongest bouts the stipulation has ever delivered, and it produced a genuinely cathartic moment as the oft-maligned Bray Wyatt finally transcended years of abject booking, capturing his first WWE Championship.
'The Eater Of Worlds' was presented as a beast in the closing stretch, dispatching both John Cena and AJ Styles to claim an almighty victory. It was the first time he'd felt like a genuine force in forever, and the post-match hinted at what was to come, with Royal Rumble winner Randy Orton appearing on the stage to stare down upon his supposed ally.
The moment would've meant more had Wyatt not been made to wade through years of abject bulls*** to reach it, and the follow-up stunk, but it was a great moment in isolation.
