6. Great Balls Of Fire: A Desperate Triumph

While Brock Lesnar hasn't always shown his best work over the past couple of years, the oft-derided 'Beast' has starred in several all-out sprints throughout 2017. These short, focused bursts of aggression not only mask his fading athleticism, but enhance Lesnar's reputation as WWE's most legitimate ass-kicker, and while not quite on the level of WrestleMania 33's war with Goldberg, Great Balls Of Fire saw Brock deliver an absolute belter with Samoa Joe.

Joe's pre-match push was so strong that many were clamouring for his victory, and he his presentation as a ruthless killer continued at GBOF. The former NXT Champion attacked Lesnar during his introduction, and barely let up throughout, enjoying levels of dominance usually reserved for the 'Beast' himself. For six minutes, Joe felt like the baddest man on the planet. A longer runtime would've produced greater benefits, but he lost nothing in defeat, and the match itself was an adrenaline-fuelled blitzkrieg.

The Universal Champion barely escaped Joe's onslaught, and only triumphed through a desperation F5. The bout's brevity suggests a squash, but no: Lesnar was presented as lucky to leave with the belt, giving his felled opponent an almighty rub.
