You kind of have to feel sorry for Aliyah, who toiled away in NXT since 2015 without attaining any real sense of notoriety before being called up to SmackDown in the WWE draft in October.

Aliyah in two tag matches (one of them a six-woman bout) last month and was named to Team SmackDown for Survivor Series… before being unceremoniously removed from the squad by Sonya Deville. And that really has been it for Aliyah.

She most likely is going to be little more than a warm body to trot out every once in a while, which is fine, but when your big moment shortly after debuting is to be removed from a PPV match by an authority figure and then have the issue just dropped, it doesn’t bode well for you at all.
