2. Last Man Standing Match vs. Batista (2010)
This rivalry between John Cena and Batista began after the two got involved with Bret Hart and Mr. McMahon's hostilities. Both guys would pass the WWE Championship around until Cena defeated Batista for it at WrestleMania 26. These circumstances lead to this Last Man Standing at Extreme Rules.
Batista showcased himself well during this match. He came across as progressively more ruthless as he tried to keep Cena down for the 10-count. An unintentionally funny moment came from Batista as he threw a monitor from the announce table at commentator Matt Striker while he was in the middle of proclaiming how much he liked The Animal.
Cena would be sent crashing through a barricade and Batista would get AA'd off of steel steps through an announce table. Carnage abounded in this excellent match but victory would be obtained by Cena when he cleverly duct taped Batista's legs around the corner ring post.
John waved his hand mockingly for his "You Can't See Me" taunt as a frustrated Batista had to let the ref count to ten. Cena retained the WWE Championship.
With still one more match left that is better than this one in John Cena's Extreme Rules match history it is easy to see that he typically performs well at this event.
